HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

We are headed to California tonight. We are going to drive as far as we can while the kids sleep. We will spend Thanksgiving with Russ's family. Not excited for the LONG drive with cranky kids, but I am excited to see new baby Sawyer and family. We hope every one has a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving.
Here are a few pictures from Riley's Thanksgiving program they had today. It was a really cute program. These are NOT good pictures, but the best I had. He was a pilgram. He is on the front row and has a D-Backs shirt on. The kindergarten teachers did a really good job.

LoOk WhAt I dId!!

I made my own bread from scratch for the first time. I didn't even use my bread maker. HA! I'm so excited. I never thought I could make bread, but I was really ambitious today...so here it is. It is so good (and pretty easy) that I am going to make it more often.

Randal turns 15!!!

He wanted a chocolate, chocolate cake with strawberries. It was FABULOUS!!

Watch out ladies one more year and he will be all yours----NOT!!! He can't date until after his mission. We had a little party on Tuesday. He had some friends over and they played the wii.

The Blue Sharks
Here are some soccer pictures. Riley Really didn't like soccer very much. I think he would have liked it more if he knew what he was doing. They had a great year. They won alot of games. We asked Riley if he wanted to play next year and he said "no thank-you." We will see. It was good for him to be apart of a team, he played with alot of his friends. GOOD JOB BLUE SHARKS!!!

Food for thought....and spirit

This time of year is great for refection on our lives. Right now so many people are struggling and suffering. Physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The economy stinks and families are hurting. It seems like the holidays are a great time to refocus, and recommit ourselves. My sister Rebecca got this from a relief society lesson. The girl told her to put it somewhere where she can read it 5 times a day. Then answer the questions. She said you will feel better about yourself and you will have a greater desire to serve and love others. Here are the questions-
1. What do I love about myself?
2. What do I have to look forward to today?
3. What does Heavenly Father want me to learn today?
4. Who can I serve today?
5. What am I grateful for?
I don't know about you but these are all things that I GREATLY need to improve on. I am going to recommit myself to doing this everyday--you should try is too:)

It is really cute, and to get her name out there she is doing a fun drawing. If you leave a comment on her blog you will be entered to win some really cute Christmas blocks. So check out her page http://polkadotsngiggles.blogspot.com. Thanks, and if you mention my name she will put me in again:) She will also ship it to you if you don't live close. Have fun. I hope you win.

Did I miss something?!?!

Just about half of my blog list has gone private in the last 2 days. I am wondering what is the scoop? Did something happen that I should know about? I have never had anything bad or crazy happen. Should I be worried?

Little Miss Raegan

Being a parent is sometimes....interesting. You always want what's best for your kids. You want to help them physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I never know if the things I say are ever going to back fire. Are they going to be for the good or for the bad. OK you all know what I'm talking about. So, Reagan is a total girly, girl. Every thing she does or says is ALL girl. She has been talking for awhile now (I guess since I was pregnant with Reese) about being a mom and having babies. She will always say "I have a baby in my tummy," and "when I'm a mom." This has never really bothered me because I was the same way when I was young--just wanted to be a mom. We just tell her only after your married in the temple you can have babies. Riley has been curious a few times (especially when I was pregnant) about how the baby comes out. Raegan picked up on this curiosity very quickly--knowing her future how could you blame her??? I have to have c-sections with my babies, so I told the kids the truth, "The doctor cuts my belly and pulls the baby out." They were a little freaked out but it passed quickly. The other day Reagan asked "how do babies come out of my belly." I hope she doesn't have to have c-sections like me. I wanted to be honest with her so I told her they come out our bums. She was fine with that. The reason I am posting is because we were watching Baby Mama the other day (which by the way is Raegan's new favorite movie, are you surprised??) and out of the blue Raegan asks "how do babies get inside of my tummy?" HOLY COW!! I can handle all of the other stuff. Telling her that babies come out of our bums was a HUGE leap for me. What am I going to say?!?! So I told her the truth..... "it's magic." That's really not a lie:) LOL. I worry about what the future holds for this very mature 3 year old. Heaven help us:)

Halloween Festivities

We had a fun Halloween this year. Here are a few pictures from our festivities.

Carving pumpkins is always a favorite for us. Raegan is totally into digging out the guts, but Riley HATES to touch the insides. Riley did a bat in his pumpkin and Raegan did a happy pumpkin. Daddy did Blues Clues (for Raegan) and Mommy's said B-O-O.

Picking pumpkins at the pumpkin patch for FHE. There was not too many big ones. So we all got smaller one. Except Riley. He searched until he found the biggest one he could.

I love dressing up the kids. I wish we could have had more unique costumes--but this is what they wanted. It is about the kids and not the mom-RIGHT!!:)

Reesie's first Halloween--She a baby bumble bee--the cutest one I have seen.

I have to post a picture of the back of Raegan's hair--because it took FOREVER to curl--and it didn't even stay in for very long.

Fairy princess--TINK

The handsome, powerful--IRONMAN
We also took the kids to the Fall festival at the High School. They had all kinds of games and prizes for the kids. I remember when I was a kid they would do this at our Elementary school. Everyone would dress up. It was my favorite part of Halloween growing up. I have to share this story so I don't forget. We only had about an hour to play games. We went around to each booth and I asked the kids if they wanted to play and then moved onto the next booth. We came to a booth that was a giant pumpkin with a hole in the center of it. It was a pie throwing booth. The guy in the middle was the police chief. As we got there the police chief was just getting there. He asked Riley if he wanted to throw a pie in his face. Riley being the shy kid he is of course shook his head no. He would NEVER think of doing something like that to a cop. So, we went to all the booths and were on our way around again when Riley stopped at the pie throwing booth. He said, "Mom I want to throw a pie at the cop." I said, "Are you sure?" He said he was sure, so we paid our tickets and he got a little pie--which was just whipping cream. He got in position and bam--he hit the guy smack in the face. We all started laughing except Riley. He just turned around and walked off. It was so stinking funny.
