Dancing Divas

Christmas came a little early when we got a package in the mail from Uncle Richard and Aunt Teri. Inside were the CUTEST tutu's I have ever seen. Of course the girls loved them the second they saw them. They wore them to the grocery store and tried to wear them to bed. At the store everyone kept talking to them and telling them how cute they were--yeah that helped:) Riley also got a reversable superman/batman cape, which he loves. THANK-YOU AUNTIE AND UNCLE!!

OUR Christmas!!

We had a great Christmas. Russ got to be here with us. Our December was full of seeing Santa, parties, yummy food, family, and friends. The kids got very spoiled with gifts and candy. We love this time of year and the spirit of Christmas. Here are just a few pictures. Riley at his school Christmas program. He got a speaking part this year and did a great job.

10 years HOLY COW--really?!?!

Today Russ and I have been married for 10 YEARS!! It really is crazy. We have been through so much in the last 10 years. New homes, new cars, new jobs, new callings, new babies. It seems like time goes so fast. One day you wake up and realize you have been married to your best friend for 10 years and you have 3 wonderful kids, and a beautiful home. I think "how did I get so lucky?" Russ is everything I could ever wish for. He is such a great husband--so supportive and caring. He is a wonderful father. We are very blessed to have him in our lives. I know I take him for grantied most of the time--BUT I want him to know that my life is complete with him. I would be nothing or anywhere if he wasn't by my side the whole way. Russ, I love you more and more everyday. Thank-you for the most wonderful 10 years!!

OH CHRISTMAS TREE, OH CHRISTMAS TREE!!

This year was a little weird having to get Christmas up and going without Russ here. We still have not gotten our outside lights up--and that will not happen this year. We did get to our Christmas tree. It was fun to see the kids get so excited. They always want to decorate with the Christmas stuff. Of course the ornaments and decorations have been re-arranged several times already. The best is to watch Reese chase the train that is under the tree. She runs and screams "choo-choo". I love it. Merry Christmas everyone.

A new adventure

So today has been a really hard day. We have been preparing and planning for months for this day--but that didn't make it any easier. Today Russ left for the Police Academy. He is going to ALEA which is in Pheonix. He is very excited to start this new adventure in his life. He has always wanted to be a police officer, but it seemed the timeing was always wrong. Now, everything just kindof fell into place. He can't wait to start working for the town of Snowflake. He will be a great officer. Well really, he could be good at anything he wanted to do. I am very proud of him. I miss him already and can't wait to hear all of his horror stories. The academy will be for four and a half months. He will get to come home on the week-ends if the weather is good. He will also get to be here for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We have never been away from eachother for this long and I know it will be a huge adjustment for all of us. I also know that it will be so worth it in the end. I hope the next 4 months goes very fast.

The SmArTeSt girl

This morning I was helping Raegan with her homework for preschool. I got her a piece of paper and a pen so she could write her name. She looked at the pen then looked at me and said, "I can't use pen on my homework." I said, "who said so?" With out a second hesitation she said, "I'm really smart and I know that." Like DUH MOM have you NEVER done homework before. I am greatful for my kids and the things they say to me. They always make me smile.

Halloween and pumpkins

We can't believe October is over already. The kids waited and waited for Halloween to come and now it's over. We had a lot of fun with our Halloween festivities. We went to the pumpkin patch and got to pick our favorite pumpkins. It was fun to see Reese because she was excited to see the pumpkins BUT did NOT want to touch one. Of course it took Riley and Raegan FoReVeR to pick the PeRfEcT one. After the pumpkin patch we went home and ate orange pancakes and orange juice. The kids thought that was the coolest.

Our favorite part of Halloween was going to the carnival that is at the High School. The kids got to dress up and they have all kinds of games and prizes for the kids. It was really fun to watch Reese this year. She was old enough for quite a few of the games. She would eat her candy as fast as it was handed to her.

We didn't carve our pumpkins until Friday night. It is always fun to see what the kids will think of for their jack-o-lantern faces. I was escpecially excited this year because Riley did his pumpkin AlL bY hImSeLf. It was really cute too. I didn't post pictures of the pumpkins because I noticed my kids faces were so dirty.

Saturday was the BiG day. It finally got late enough that the kids could start getting dressed. My G.I. Joe, my CoWgIrL, and my beautiful BaLlEriNa. They all looked so cute. Of course. Trick-or-treating was a HuGe hit. We never go to too many houses because I don't want all the candy and they get tired fast. Reese had a blast knocking on the door and saying "trick-or-treat" and "thank-you". So cute. Well that pretty much sums up our Halloween. FaBuLoUs!!!

Sparkly Feet

The other day Russ and I were driving with all the kids. We had been in the car for a few minutes when Riley said. "Mom my feet feel weird. You know like they feel SPARKLY." I never thought about when my feet fall asleep as "sparkly." Too funny.

Riley's soccer 2009

Riley has started soccer again. After last year we thought he would never want to play again. He has come so far from last year. He actually likes going to practice. At the games he chases the ball and kicks pretty good. Maybe next year he will be a pro. Yeah right. His team is called the "Green Gators". They have won one game and lost one game. It is a fun family activity to go and watch him play. Even Mel and the girls come and support him. Go Green Gators.
